Sparkypants Studios is currently seeking a Sr Environment Artist. If you have a true passion for crafting detailed and engaging worlds using Max, Maya, Quixel, Substance Designer and more then give us a look.
That’s a catchy studio name, but just who is Sparkypants?
Established in 2011, Sparkypants Studios is comprised of experienced game developers who have won numerous game awards across multiple genres and platforms. We’re based in a swanky, brand new office space in Baltimore, Maryland. Our core team has worked together for more than a decade and brings that shared experience to every project. We’re currently hard at work on a (well-funded) unannounced title. We play our game EVERY DAY and strive to make improvements with each play session.

Responsibilities
- Model, texture, and light stellar environments
- Work closely with designers and fellow artists to plan and execute engaging game worlds
- Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong modeling and texturing skills
- Strong artistic interpretative ability within the context of a particular art style and gameplay.
- Efficient organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize and execute ideas within a schedule
- Excellent technical and artistic problem solving
Position Requirements:
- A strong passion for making great games.
- Experience Level: 3+ years as a game environment artist (...but maybe you’re an extremely talented upstart with a stunning portfolio that just needs to be given a shot? Well, then show us what you got!)
- Software: Max (or Maya), Photoshop, Zbrush, Quixel Suite, Substance Designer
Additional Skills (Pluses):
- Strong architecture or traditional art background
- Drawing and conceptual art skills
- MOD Community experience
- Lighting or cinematography experience
- Any other game related art or design experience (FX, scripting, etc)
