Hi there! I am currently working on a model with multiple subtools representing various body parts and mechanisms, and I would like to ask what would be the most efficient way to UV such a model inside Zbrush 4r7?
At first, I was thinking about merging down some of the subtools, go to UV master, keep polygroups feature on and unwrap but I swiftly realized that subdivisions will be lost and the end result will be a total fail.
Then I thought of UVing each subtool individually but that basically means crazy lots of work and jumping back and forth, which I guess isn't a smart idea. This is why I got stuck and I am not sure how to proceed because after finishing detailing all the parts of my creature, I want to move on texturing it in Substance Painter. Considering that it supports only one obj at a time, I've got totally lost and your help will be highly appreciated.

i just merge all the subtools keeping all the polygroups > decimate > retopo 3d coat > uvs in maya with bonus tools the best method for uvs
