Hey guys,
I thought to condense all my stuff in a single thread. I'll update this exclusively with finished pieces but I'll also write notes, creative process when I feel like. I'll start by posting some of my previous works and hopefully keep it up to date.
Lovely work. I personally love the traditional clay sculpts!
Hey Spencer, I'm really glad you appreciate the clay work.
To me that's where it all starts. I could stay all day long sculpting the human body and its expression. I'm not a crazy anatomist but I simply love the way the body speaks.
Great work! Congrats on 3D Total Award and I am loving these traditional sculpts
Thanks Jakub, I was very happy for the Award. In reality I consider myself an artisan so I was really flattered.
I love clay so I'm really glad that passion is reaching out... I'll try to post more clay studies if they may be interesting for somebody.
Just to keep it up to date guys! This is a quick sculpt I've just finished. I still have to render it ... I'll do it probably in vray. These are just screenshots from zbrush.
Thanks a lot Amir. There we go guys. This last piece is titled Lost. It's always about my research on emotions, expression and body. Modeled in Zbrush and rendered in Vray.
I was feeling a bit of pressure since the last three months I gave myself pretty strict deadlines and projects so I just started to sketch a character with the simple purpose of....sketching! No polygon count, not concerned with flow or anything whatsoever...just pure fun. The idea is to capture crazyness in its purest form. Still a bunch I wanna do but I'll finish tomorrow. It's leaning towards Jack Nicholson but I think it's inevitable if you decide to sculpt crazy stuff
The first sketch is taking a new sort of tortured direction. Still lot of work to do on secondary and tertiary forms + few greebles which the unfortunate guy is victim of...
On top of this project I'm also working on my passion and fastball which is expression...working on posh disgust and arrogance spiced up with a bit of uncertainty...still to work on bunch of details secondary and tertiary forms..I'm gonna texture this guy in Mari and render it as a next-gen asset in Marmoset
Little update. My wife is an interior designer so recently I started dabbling with UE4 for arch-viz. I loved the incresed efficiency and overall speed.
This is an example of a joint effort between us. She took care of design and modelling and I shaded/rendered in UE4.
Researching expressions on this guy. It started as some sort of disgust, it's now slowly turning into an interesting blend and contrast between acceptance, sense of superiority and disappointment. I wanna go ahead and push more the negative, dark sides of the personality. I'll let you know how it goes.
You bring me good memories...sweet times fighting with acne and hours playing games instead of making them So I'm sculpting this guy and suddenly his evilness and bastardness (is this a word?) makes him assume a pig like configuration...I guess I'll stick with these primary forms, round them out a bit and start working on secondary and tertiary details...

Thanks!
I've also started to upload simple clay turnarounds of my stuff. So I'll start with Pepper and Mr. Easy
Sorry I'm not sure how to turn off related videos at the end, usually &rel=0 did the trick on my website but not here.

EDIT: rendered version is one post down
