Critiques welcome! This is my first attempt at a creature of this type. Any tips for brushes, alphas, or technique would be helpful.
I'm thinking about trying Substance Painter/Designer for the detailed parts of the body. Never used it before, so there might be a lot of trial and error with this one. Should be fun!

Here's another small update.
Here's another update. I think this is as much detail as I want to go into in Zbrush. I've never used Substance Designer/Painter before, but I think I'm going to spend the next few days familiarizing myself with it to create the finer details of the skin. If anyone has any tutorials or resources to help me get started, please post them. It would be a huge help.
I'm leaning more towards realistic/heavily detailed. It's not going to be as painterly as the concept. Not sure how my skills will be in Substance P/D, though. I'm looking for any resources that will give me a crash course on the program.
I decided to not worry about polycount on this one. I aimed for around 35K tris. The version here is 35,408. Time to download a trial to substance designer/painter and get to work. I found some pretty good tutorials on youtube, but if anyone else knows of some great sources please post the links! I could use all the help I can get!
