Hey guys!
Myself and another artist from Polycount, Paul Pepera, along with 3 other friends of ours have been working on a game in our spare time. The game is called Astroneer and we're happy to share it with you guys!

The game is being made in Unreal Engine 4. Some details about the artwork:
- No unwrapping or UV textures! It allows us to quickly iterate and change art on the fly. A conscience decision on our part since our time was limited.
Smart.
- The terrain deformation is brand new tech we've brought to Unreal
- Much of the lighting is our own design, too.
- The geometric look of it (or low poly, if you'd like) is intentional. WE found this art style to work great up close, far away, thumbnail or high resolution.

Please don't release the game as early access. It'll fair off far better as a full release with reviews and player sustainability. You'll make way more money too
One question, it looks like in the screenshots anti-aliasing is missing?
Good luck and I'm keen to see more!
That concept art too, never thought I'd see concept art made with tris as well (haha). It's something else
Interesting article tynew posted, shed light on a lot of things. Recommend it to anyone as it's more general than just Early Access
