Hi guys I'm a big fan of the lighting used by Timothy Reynolds in his 3d illustrations.

I believe the thing I enjoy a lot is that there are warm shadows in the work. I have experimented with some low poly models and post processed them to create something similar but I was wondering if you would know a way to light something like that directly in 3d(either Max or Maya). I have attached the post processing exp I did below to give an idea of what I'm trying to do

@Deadly Nightshade - Do you mean adjusting the AO texture applied to the object or would it be adjusting the AO settings in the renderer?
@LMP Thanks I am looking this up now. Is there any way to achieve this without post processing or is it just an unnatural lighting situation?
Most render engine these days has a pre-built AO pass/element for you to use. Most baking apps can also bake AO if you want.
