Interstella 5555 Toys WIP - Critique Plz

Hey, this is my first post to Polycount!

As a personal project I wanted to make the toys from Daft Punk's Interstella 5555 from this scene https://youtu.be/sOS9aOIXPEk?t=3m15s. So far I made Stella and Octave and I was having trouble with the other two characters, Arpegius (Red Guitar) and Baryl (Drums). I have no idea how to handle their anime-esk hair or where to start and I could use some pointers. I'm new to using Zbrush but using it to sculpt their hair.

Any tips, critique, or ideas are always welcome. Thanks!

Hi Kibou and welcome, I'm new here too , i came across this one pinterest quite a while ago, could help with making an anime style hair



Block out the main form then use a "mask" to pull out extra blocky hair strands using the "extract" tool found in the subtool menu.
