Looks like there's a similar piece of technology in the same vein as the Oculus Rift and Google Glass, but instead of focusing on entertainment enables people that are legally blind from a multitude of eye diseases to be able to see just like normal. From the sounds of it a user could also plug it into a computer system to focus on working (saw a video of a woman doing interior designs in 3D) or entertainment like an Xbox or Television.

I think it's pretty freaking cool how technology seems to be evolving both for games, entertainment, and medical applications at the same time.

Kind of reminds me of the work a guy was doing at Valve with different controllers that possibly could also aid the paraplegic/paralyzed.

There are people working on a hands free interface (for gaming). If that ever succeeds it will be a game changer for individuals who suffer paralysis.
