I've been wanting to do some modular architectural modelling and texturing for a while now, so I started on this personal piece. I started working on this drawing room with Gothic, Victorian and possibly a few modern elements. I have been using Maya to model, will be using Zbrush for some fine details, Substance Designer (and perhaps Painter if need be) for textures. Test renders will be done in Marmoset Toolbag 2, because it's quick and pretty. Ultimately this is intended for use in Unreal Engine 4, where I will be doing all the final renders. Here are a few shots of some work in progress:
A lot of time has passed since my last post. I've not had as much spare time to work on this project, but I've managed to squeeze in a few hours here and there on the weekends. It's all coming together quite nicely. I like how my lighting is working right now, I just need to model and texture another 40 or so more assets to fill out the room. The room renders are done in Unreal Engine 4, whereas the individual models are done in Marmoset Toolbag 2. The chair was sculpted in ZBrush and all the textures were made in Substance Designer and Photoshop. There are a few pieces that are just placeholders for now, like the whiskey glass, the lamps and trees (which are default Unreal Engine props - just in the scene for testing).
