[Weekly Theme 7] Dialogue

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get chance to do last weeks theme but how about a short dialogue scene this week? I don't do a lot of these so I for one am definitely in need of some practice on them.

Probably best to just keep it as a single character considering the time constraint but do whatever you want.

If you'd rather suggest a different theme then do so, I'm just chucking this one out there for the time being.

Definitely 2 weeks. Great idea, been meaning to tackle more dialogue myself.

Wasn't aware of this website. Looks like a pretty great place to get some interesting dialogue, thanks!

I doubt I'll enter this week (or two weeks) because I'm fairly new and dialogue is pretty tough but I might give it the good ol college try :P

I forgot how tough it can be to find a good dialogue clip! I couldn't squeeze a performance out of the first one I found, but I think I like this one...

Hey here's a quick first pass on mine, still got a lot to do on it but the basics are there. I don't do a lot of dialogue pieces so I'm probably making some noob mistakes. I've done this without reference so far so I need to make some reference for it over the weekend and tweak it.

@Adamturnbull, awesome! Just two small things, the left hand pose repeats for "sorry to interrupt" and "this is kind of...". The arc from those two poses appear almost linear from the camera view. Other than that good work so far!

@_adamturnbull: I agree with Hito that the last movement looks very linear, also I would leave just a tiny negative space from the body and the hand ( like a tiny triangle) just to help the silhouette. Awesome

Here is my blocking idea , tomorrow I will tweak some elbows, add more keys and start to get the arcs. I will animate the facials when I get the movement correct . I don't know if I will get this done by sunday lol

Added more poses , I will spline it tomorrow and I will add more rotation to his torso to accent some movements and take care of the arcs focusing her nose

@Hito: thanks man!! but I think I will not have time for that I want to finish it by tomorrow because there is a CTN expo event for portfolio reviews and the deadline is tomorrow at night :l , I may zoom more the character if the hands are kind of "distracting" in a way for not moving. Thanks for the advice , I appreciate it !! I planned to have her showing his entire body but yeah , time ate me haha.

- For your shot , the blocking animation is well done but I don't quite get the idea :P, maybe that will be cleared with more keys

Honestly I have no idea what the point is either. Just wanted to see what I can put into 1 word; seemed like a good idea at the time.
