RULE OF GODS INDIE GAME - "The Gods" :0)

THE GODS

The beginning of the Chimeran race was a sudden one. Genetically engineered, they were used to populate a planet terraformed to support intelligent life. This planet is rich with an ore of glowing energy lying beneath its surface. In rich quantities, it lay unearthed for the most of the Chimera’s evolution. Through the generations, religious texts had developed. Events of wonder occurred and prophecies were written in response.

Gods depicted as four legged creatures with two legged servants were prominent enforcers of morals and keepers of the planet’s life giving properties. Temples of tall stature overwhelmed mountains and touched sky. These worship palaces had stood since the conception of the religion and are believed to stand for all of time, beyond the destruction of its physical manifestation.

There were nine Gods; The God of All, The God of Bright, The God of Dark, The God of Sky, The God of Ground, The God of Sound, The God of Sight, The God of Hide, and the God of Odd.

The God of all is worshiped by everyone. It is the ultimate god – the God of Gods.

The God of bright is the essence of day and represents everything of light; canines are more attuned to the day, thus the majority of them worship this God.

The God of Dark is the essence of night and the shadows that consume unlit landscapes when sun falls; felines prefer the comfort of worshiping this God.

The God of Sky is life in the clouds and beyond; worship of this God occurs at the peaks of mountains and at the top of the large temples.

The God of Ground is life in soil and sand; those who live inside of the ground are generally worshipers of this God.

The God of Sound hears all and listens intently; worshipers of this God are very musically inclined and often perform instruments while involved in their worshiping rituals.

The God of sight sees all beauty and is always observing and visualizing; worshipers of this God are artists and architects.

The God of Hide represents the unseen and unknown – the world beyond that which can be perceived. Worshipers of this God discuss philosophy and ask questions with impossible answers.

The last God, The God of Odd, represents all things uncanny. Worshipers of this God are generally shunned as they develop their own religious ideals and are less likely to conform.
