I'm stuggling to find any decent information on how you go about texture maps for these weapon skins? Everything seems to have quite strange terminology like "finish" and "pattern" - seems pretty odd..

I'm assuming pattern is just diffuse texture and finish is picking out of a bunch of shaders?

Is it possible to plug in spec or normal maps?

Exactly, pattern is the texture and finish is the "shader" you chose to use in the cs go workbench tool

Also, there's no normal maps (because the game use a normal map for each weapon already). BUT, you can play with the metalness/brightness of your texture depend of wich finish you chose to use. For exemple, the "ANODIZED MULTICOLORED STYLE" read the red blue green and alpha chanel, where each one change the mat aspect of your weapon.

For more info, you must read the official guide (its pretty quick)
