Hello! I was referenced here by one of my friends and thought I'd give this contest a shot. I'm doing a weapon skin but haven't decided what I'll be making yet.
This will be a learning process for me with regards to steam workshop, as I haven't used it in the past. Stay tuned!
EDIT: My theme will be called "Dragonfire" and will be on the Caulk Burn and possibly the flamethrower if I have enough time. Check back later for my first images of it.

I made a base dragon-scale texture and some stylized flames.
Here I've changed the flames around a little. Now they genuinely look hot instead of the gold/chrome look that I had before. The scales and flames were made from scratch in Photoshop/Illustrator, and I plan to do everything like this. I'll keep posting as I develop the texture more.
they added the meshes some time ago
Thanks for the feedback. I was also thinking the #2 flames were too bright. I'll do some more experimenting.
Still have a lot I want to do, but here's what I have so far.
Another update. My next goal is to get the skin in-engine and mess with the settings in there. Then i'll add final touches and fade/wear the skin out some more to look better/more similar with other weapons in the game.
I'm entering the final stretch with this update. After adding some more decals, I changed some colors around in photoshop for a darker look. Now I'm messing with the settings here in udk. I'm planning on doing the flamethrower with this same theme and entering in the set category. Possibly more firebug weapons as well. Any feedback is appreciated!
Still working, but here's an update. I'm planning on doing the knife as well.
As you can see, I have several layers each for different sections of the knife (with masks) so I can easily adjust colors, etc. without losing the base of the texture. Since the layers were easy to transfer to other PSDs, I was able to make the knife, Dragonsbreath, and flamethrower at a much faster rate than the caulkburn.
Here is the MIC. I had to use an alpha image to preserve the reflective aspect of the blade.
Here is the dragon's head. I made it from scratch in illustrator. I was inspired by dragon decals and Chinese dragon artworks for this one, as well as the flames.
