Breath of Fire - Ryu

Hello everyone,
I started working on Ryu from Breath of Fire. Next step is to add details then retopo and texturing.

It's from Breath of Fire 3, although the 4th one is quite similar.
The first two episodes were among the first rpgs that I intensively played

I loved breath of fire, especially the first 2
Body and proportions look quite good for me, I think the hands/fingers need some more work, right now they are just straight, give them some up and downs from the knuckles (can be seen well on the concept).
Also something feels a bit weird on the face, but I can't tell what exactly bothers me, since the image is so small..
Really excited to see what you make out of this

Hey, thank you for your comment. I agree with you for the hands and for the face too, i'm constantly tweaking it, but I still have to get it right.
I'll post some updates soon.

Haftoof

Eyes are to wide-set and a bit large, might be the lack of eyelids. The mouth needs some work and lacks a strong jawline, his face isn't very manly with the face being so rounded and child-like.

Definitely too chunky in the face and as PryZern said his torso is too long and has short arms. Among the anatomy issues his hair is clay like and lacks the prominent "pointyness" of the anime style.

i agree that with the face, altough he is just a boy, but maybe i have to make him a stronger shape

You can keep the face softer by having curves along the jaw-line, but you don't want the jaw to be one big curve that wraps around the chin also.

Tectonic

I really don't think you captured the face. and the shoulders look too broad.
