Hand Painted Sword WIP

Hi Polycount, new here.

Trying to further develop my hand painting skills, based off the tutorial by Tyson Murphy.

C&C encouraged and welcome. Would like to refine this a bit before going on to the shield.

Looks good u can also add this to this thread it you want:

    http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125954

Might glance over that entire thread to get inspired for your next piece all your own from what you learned now. :)

Looks good to me, i'd look up similar pieces and see what they did, a few people have done the tutorial. Just a thought instead of waiting for the C&C, but continue, perhaps at the end of the progress you will receive more feedback.

Very nice!! One of the best I've seen for this tutorial! I think the hilt could use some edge normal softening! The yellow part of the hilt doesn't look like metal. I imagine that is what you were going for, right? The best example I could find at the moment was rafazanchetin's sword. Look at his hilt, and how much contrast he has on that material.

Yeah, his colour is a lot more rich looking too. Looks like I need to add more oranges into the pallet. Thanks!
