Hi
I'm working on post-apocalyptic sack boy type character. I made a concept of this a few years ago and decided to build it in 3d.
I haven't really done any real character before so any feedback is welcome.
I also want to do some animation for this once it's done. I haven't done a lot of animation before either. Just some basic stuff. So if you see anything you think will be a problem when it comes to animation please let me know.

That would definitely add to the look. I'm going to have welds in some places so it looks like it has been put together with scrap. There are some symmetrical parts that I will change to make it look more like it's been built from whatever was available.
And there will be a lot of dirt and rust and stuff in the texture.
I love the character designs in 9. That was definitely an inspiration when I made the concept.
These are good points. I agree that the sack is too loose over all. At the same time I think the lax look adds to the creepiness of the character. I'm a bit split about it. =/ There are some places where I think it makes sense for it to be a little more loose, like the joints so it can move its limbs. But I need to work more on it.
This made me realize that I haven't really thought about what is inside the character and how it is built. I don't like idea of it being a stuffed sack that magically moves. I meant for the canisters on the back to contain fuel so I imagine there being an engine in the belly and a computer in the head. It's a robot rather than a living creature. The stuffing could be something that protects the important parts. Not sure what it would be though. Any ideas?
It would probably look cool if there were some damaged places where you can see the stuffing.
Tear and shredding is a great idea. I hadn't really thought about that.
Considering it has lost limbs it would probably make sense for it to have combat damage too in some places.
