Research topic about robot and weapons sci fi design

Hi guys,
I am now doing FYP showcase sci-fi so my works will be in design enemy robot, weapons and some prob.
so I need to do a research (statement of problems research questions etc...)

so anyone can help me to find articles and books about design robot and weapons to apply it in my research.

Honestly? There's one big thing to remember, if working on something even vaguely realistic:

Make everything look like it has a PURPOSE. Look at things in the real world vaguely related: Assembly line arms for articulation, etcetera.

In the case of a weapon, think about how it works. Does solid ammunition feed into the weapon to be fired? It should end up in line with the barrel; a revolver, for example, doesn't have the barrel in line with the axis of the cyllinder. Does your plasma gun function by superheating ambient air and using mass acceleration to fire it? Does it instead convert stored matter into plasma (making it useable in space, but needing an ammo feed of some kind? That sort of thing.

As for actual books - I'd avoid "How to draw this kind of thing" myself (a TOTALLY personal opinion), as I have seen too many people fall into the trap of only being able to draw (or model, or what have you) only what the book showed.
