I had some spare time during lunch yesterday so I thought I'd finally give NDO Painter a proper go. Added a bunch of welding seams and bolts and so on. Was a very special feeling being able to paint out normal details directly onto the mesh. Then I wanted to give it a run through DDO Painter. Man, working in 8k and still being able to paint directly on the mesh is pretty darn insane.
No idea what kind of witchcraft my computer is taking part in.
All in all this took me just a few hours from start to finish and no baking except for a color ID map.
Real-time rendered in 3DO.

Awesome stuff!
Nice work bud.
No baking? Does Ndo bake the whole normal mapping on its own with just the Color ID?
I really need a new workflow .
If russia had these thing's i'd join their military. Love those details!
Thanks a bunch for the kind words!
Nah, Eric textured it a while back. And yeah, he also works at Quixel!
I'll post wires when I get back to my home PC.
Reminds me of why I´m still waiting for Quixel 2.0 and Megascans. Could really really REALLY use that right now. Is there any news on the release date?
