so since Halloween is coming up and we all know how much Tripwire loves Halloween I thought going for a more costumed vibe while still keeping to the monster killing theme, Alberts is my favourite character so I thought I'd make something for him first, and since he's a holy man after all, a VAMPIRE HUNTER kind of get up seems pretty appropriate.
so I've blocked out the main 2 items of the set
The hat will go to the hat attach point obviously
but the scarf and cape will go on the jaw attach point so you can still wear things like the sunglasses with the whole set.

Are clothing items like that cloak allowed? if so thats really kool
Ana has a scarf that goes down around her shoulder area and is skinned to her collar/shoulders
If I assume Tripwire plan on going the TF2 route and never alter the characters actual meshes then doing stuff like this where the clothing works around the rest of the character mesh (a la tf2) then this should be technically fine.
whether or not it is stylistically fine is up to Tripwire.
TF2 had a slow burn up to crazy full body items, rather than take the slow route of exclusively "head" items I'm gonna jump the shark and go straight to the experimenting, seeing how much we can really get away with.
I feel that something like this cloak seems like a pretty tame spot to start.
I sure hope I can turn off backface culling in the sdk

Also blenders fbx exporters is drastically offsetting my mesh
The top mesh is the one I normally work on, when imported it floats high above the characters in the sdk model preview.
the bottom mesh is where I've manually moved the mesh I'm exporting to get it to appear correctly on the characters.
not very helpful as I have to work through trial and error to get the rigging right AND the placement right.
only after that does it actually deform.
it is working, I just can't spawn it as an interp actor to preview it on the character
