Here's a little character scene I've been working on for couple of nights.
Here's bit of a mockup - my Wacom USB port broke during making the mockup, but I think you'll get the idea of what I'm going for:
I think I've got the character mostly figured out... Building it based of couple of crude concepts and orto that I used to guide the model.
I wanted to toy with an idea of having a cannon in the background, also this guy will have a sword on his belt and quiver of bolts. I'll try to finish the idea up before I'll get to the point that I'm building the full scene.
Here's the progress so far:
Belt is currently a crude 15minute placeholder I'll make the sword scabbard first and then finish the complete belt. :thumbup:
Here's what I plan for my workflow:
- Character & Items Highpoly on 3DS MAX
- Character & Items Sculpting detail on Mudbox
- Character & Items Lowpoly + UVW
- Rig + Pose
- Finished mockup of a idea that I'll go with
- Scene asset blockout
- Highpoly & Sculpt for Clouds, grass, moon, cannonball & (+Cannon?)
- Lowpoly for grass and cannonball, probably moon if it doesn't look good enough without texture.
- Bakes with Substance Designer
- Textures
- Final composition in Toolbag 2
- Polish
