Want to set my normal angles on this object to the same angle but cant seem to find the function to set the normals to a specific angle. Also I tried using the edit normals modifier and found that my polygon selection did not carry over from my edit poly selection. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I want to make the areas circled into one flowing section rather than having the annoying shadows due to the wierd normals

Instead of going the Highpoly Sculpting route, I am only guessing of course.
OR are you saying that the thread is obsolete and smooth across the entirety of a project is the way to go now? I was just about to test the content on that thread and any clarification would be greatly appreciated, i.e. is the thread content and procedures still a valid concept, or smooth and go is what we should do now?
I know I might have made the thread discussion a bit more difficult but I would rather not waste time learning something new that is not needed, is all i am trying to say.

I meant op was asking about editing normals, like how your doing in your thread. Never mind me, i'll have to decide what to do with my project sry for derailing thread.
