Zbrush: question about rolling up a part of the mesh

Hello,
havent noticed anywhere a "quick question" topic - since that would be perfect for this - so I'll just ask here:

This is what I want to do:

I have a relatively flat and even mesh and I want the edge of this to be rolled up a bit like in the pic. I'd imagine this should be fairly easy to do but the only solution I've worked out so far is to mask part of it, feather the mask a bit, rotate, mask out more, rotate again etc. - the end result if rather jaggy. Is there any cleaner way of doing this?

Just a thought, how about creating the curled profile first in shadowbox and then extending it outwards/backwards. (ie: in the direction of your blue lines)

Or create the profile in Zmodeler, keeping it thin, and then qmesh it backwards to give you the volume. You could then scale it down further to make it thinner

Or you could use the masking/polygroup/panel loop technique for the profile. Once the profile is created, extend it backwards.

I think the bottom line of what I'm trying to suggest is, create the profile first. Obviously that could be problematic if you have detail already on the flat mesh.

Hope that makes sense. Unfortunately I'm not in front of my comp. to explain how I might attack this.
