Hi everyone,
well other than very basic stuff, I am new to Modelling and Texturing. I thought i would try my luck with Handpainted things and Low poly Models.
I would like to show you some textures i did the last few days :-)
I am not really happy with them. Some look really nice close up but look horribly at a distance i would use them in game. I would be happy if anyone could give me hints on how to improve. I have watched a lot of wood and stone tutorials i just cant seem to find the right "style" so it looks good when i import them into Unity.
Well thx in advance for anything you guys can tell me. And please tell me if this is too bad and i should come back when i improved:-)

thx for your words.
Here my first 4 textures i did.
I did a few more little things to test tutorials but it feels like i am doibng the same things over and over without getting the things to show that i want. If that makes sense.
I am sorry. I am new to this and didnt know it wasnt the correct way to attach things.
You can see all the images here too:

I am going to create a Dungeon Tile-Set and if noone minds i will post my progress here:-) Hoping to see improvement over time.
Your shadows lack color, what if you added the complimentary color of some of the base palette you are using? You can add some pop on your edges, try to have a consistent light source. Feel free to change the width of the cuts in the wood and defining the form of how that turns. Hopefully this helps!
(also, some of your brush strokes feel a little muddy, every artist does his own thing, I personally prefer to work with just a brush with hardness to 100% and just use transfer or shape dynamics on my brush)
