hmmm
just need a bit of advise
especially from someone that works/worked for big game dev company
1. not sure now a ways whats a
better workflow for circular shapes
some clients prefer for the top of circular shapes
to be modeled this way
*check top of barrel*

some prefer another to just extrude
into a middle vertex
or parts that will transition to a
circular flow
http://www.helderpinto.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/tris15k.jpg
like this example image
http://www.helderpinto.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/tris15k.jpg
there a few triangles to parts where it starts to curve
or the circular parts the faces/vertex merge to the center
2.some clients prefer multiple
peices for some assets like maybe a
gun etc...they dont mind some parts
like the trigger or maybe the scope
to be a different mesh since at
times if everything is one mesh just
messes up the edge flow at times or
makes the poly count higher
but some clients prefer example like
a sword everything to be one mesh
...
http://www.helderpinto.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/tris15k.jpg
like this example image ive seen some game 3d models certain parts arent part of the mesh the client was fine with it hmmm
3. some clients dont mind having
pointed end like this is certain
parts are pointed but there are some
that prefer to have this way...but
increases the poly count though

hmmm so yeah just feeling a bit
confused which is better workflow
hmmmjust that yeah before when i modeled certain parts not part of the mesh to main mesh since it wont deform, client was fine with it and if circular shape they didnt mind all the edges to flow into a single vertex hmmm which i usually do but now yeah...so yeah now
beginning to feel a little unsure if
i am doing 3d game art right or
wrong...just that feeling slightly confused since some of things i do seems fine with other clients and some client/studio prefer it done in a different manner...so yeah dont know which to follow...hmmm
