Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could help, or at least sympathize
When I export from Maya 2016 as FBX with triangulate ticked on, Maya will reset all changes to the UV's. You can see the error in all it's glory right here:

Anyone else experienced this? Anyone got a fix apart from triangulating in Maya or not triangulating on export?
I have found a thread on Autodesk regarding this, but it just tails off into nothing, hopefully they will come back with an answer...
cheers,

Try making another modification to your mesh after setting your UVs. Something like Transform Component but not moving the component at all, then delete your history.
Also the problem is I don't really want to do that every time I export (although I could whack it in an export script).
You can make a script to do it all for you. Pretty hacky but hey sometimes you have to script around Maya's bugs.
This will triangulate your selection, take you to your export menu (just leave Triangulate unchecked), then after exporting it will automatically undo the triangulation.
I got the feeling the issue is finally gone with SP 4, can you confirm that? This issue plagues me like hell.
Best Regards
Old thread, but this fixed it if anyone stil has this problem
