Nice work, but I think you can work a bit on the textures, I'm guessing that it's supposed to be copper but I'm not sure based on the colors. First of all, I think the oxidation should have more blue value than what you have, also the surface of the oxidation should be more matte. I also think there should be some more of the black oxidation that you can see on these pictures especially in crevices. Keep up the good work!
Woah, love the concept, real great looking. One thing I'm missing is perhaps some more anatomical details. Now the limbs look a bit too simplified and cylindrical.
I see you've put those Substance Painter particle brushes to good use ;] All in all, beautiful work!
@Maxilator
For the smoothness, the top image you linked sort of shows what I've been going for. Was considering going for a more matte look (had a lot of reference for it), but I didn't really find it as nice to look at.
What I definitely agree on is maybe toning the greens down about 10% and going slightly more blue, though. I think the colour and smoothness of copper patina is very dependent on the environment its formed in, but maybe I've gone a little too green for even my own taste
@razz
Actually, I found that the particle brushes give you a good starting point mostly -- for a final look you need to apply some handpainted love. It's good if you're short on time though!
As for Splash, yeah sure! Go apply, we're looking for environment artists right now.
