At work we've been working on a suite of games that uses the MYO EMG sensor to help amputees (I work at a research company as a Software Engineer doing a lot of rapid prototyping and machine learning work). One of the games is a free runner that is dinosaur themed and I wanted to show them the style that I am seeing for it in my head so decided to sculpt out a cutesy little raptor.

I will make a low poly and try my hand at animating him, but if he turns out pretty decent I may make a little pedestal for him and have him 3d printed and put him on my desk.

Had family fly in for the long weekend so didn't have a chance to do anything then. Had a spare hour tonight so rearranged the teeth a bit and sliced the mouth open (slice curve, hide, split, dynamesh and move then recombine the separate pieces). Next up will be a tongue, then zremeshing hopefully will work with the teeth. I will keep the tongue a separate piece so it can more easily be animated.

After a few suggestions I tried to make it more cohesive instead of some parts looking cartoony anatomical vs lego piece I decided to go more cartoony. Smoothed things out made the tail longer, body shorter and moved the legs up a bit.

    Low poly progress.

I tried to give him topology that I could animate, but I haven't done it in a long time so used the polycount wiki references to try and get a good idea on what I needed. Currently sits at around 5k tris. I may need to cut this down since I would like to use him on mobile as a main character (which may be doable)
