Hey everyone
I am learning modeling and UV and i have a question about how people approach uv for the inside of the mouth.
if a head is going to be animated/lip sync, does the inside of the mouth is usually modeled with the head as one piece geometry? Right now i have as one piece geometry and it gets messed up when i try to unwrap (maybe i am not doing it right yet)
Any tips you guys can give me or point me to a tutorial, i greatly apprecite
Thanks

When you unwrap you generally want to put a seam on the lips ad they fall inside of the mouth and break the mouth sock apart so it doesn't distort your head uvs.
You should do this with the inside of the eyes too.
For example, here's a google image result I found quickly where you can see how they break apart the inside of the mouth from the rest of the head uvs.
There are so many different ways to do this. Experiment and find a way that works for your model.
