I've been lurking here for far too long. Now it's time to dive in, get feedback and progress !
My first goal is to suck less (maybe even be good) and get a good portfolio to break in the industry as a character artist ("I CAN DREAM HAROLD !").
My current level is far from enough so I'll post here my current Wip/Finished images and hopefully get feedbacks.
First is a pirate I did for school, textures are horrible but what's done is done, I'll (hopefully) do better next time.
Current project was for school too but got canceled during the year. I've decided to get back at it and finish her. Going for a stylized android gurl.
Here's the progress so far (from 3.5 month ago, didn't touched it since), roughly blocked out the body (dem hands) :
and started working on the head with some ideas for the robotic look :

Last days have been a bit slow in term of progress, had to get back into character sculpting after 3 months of doing nothing but env.
I've been struggling to get something that felt right for the head. I still need to tweak someting here and there (especially around the zigomatic, stylized characters usually have a big round and proeminent one when you look at them from a 3/4 view).
Quick blockout on the hair, I'm going for a pinup/mohawk style
and some refs for the mohawk
Tomorrow wil be me vs my nemesis aka "the hands".
I've started working on the hands. I'm not very satisfied with the overall shape, it looks pretty boyish. Also I'm still trying to figure out how to get a more feminine stylized look.
I've also been working on the hairs (and fiddling with some clothes idea). I may or may not redo the back of the hair if I keep (or not) the hoodie/scarf. I'll also add some extracts to break the overall shape of the hawk.
