The folks at Sketchfab have updated their tools to now support animations, which a few of you have discovered already. Let's use this thread to share animations posted to Sketchfab!
Animation was one of the features I really wanted in a browser real time viewer. Here's my test -

This is the Mana Puff i made for the Game Forced: Eternal Arenas it add so much Character to be able to put Animations up with sketchfab now, love it (very straight forward to make it work as well)
Been a mighty long time since I posted 'round these parts.
I made a some simple animated backdrops for two space ships I'm currently building for a game project!
For some reason, it seems like sketchfab has changed how it renders transparency sorting. Multiple transparent materials used to layer on top of each other neatly, but now they occlude any other transparent objects behind them. Oh well.
I know it's not up to the standards of the animations I see here, but I'm just so happy and have to share this. It's my first 3D animation. I've been teaching myself 3D art for the past 6 months (and documented it all on Sketchfab as I went if you're curious). I realized last week that I was at a point where if I could learn how to rig in a week, I could be doing my first animation on Monday. Well, it worked out, and here it is! 3D animation was a childhood dream of mine, so this feels like a huge milestone for me. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight!
Sorry for the model/weight painting quality. It was a quickie game jam model. I realized that to fix the crotch weights, I would need to do some changes to the model, and I just wanted to keep my eye on the prize without distractions. My goal was to focus on rigging to get ready in a week.
Hey don't feel bad at all Jellybit. For a first time walk cycle animation this is really good. I've seen a lot of people just in my classes at college struggle with walks and runs. To me it looks like you've nailed almost 99% of it on the first try. I don't have any patience for rigging and weight painting so you're already a step ahead of a lot of people haha. Nice work!
