Hello everyone Currently I'm working on some large environment project. I want to make it a part of bigger photo-digital art project and mix it with photo session, photobashing, digital painting etc.
Awesome texturing, man ! The seat feels like it should be a little more worn, especially in comparison to the rest of the piano. It looks like you've got some roughness there, but you could definitely use some scuffing.
Matt_Billeci, thanks for the comment. About seat - you are right. It needs some additional adjustments to make it more similar to the piano. I will try to fix that.
Hi, good work so far! I think that the piano should have pedals, first of all. Second, the snake head I think would look better with some more secondary shapes such as a row of small teeth behind the fangs and maybe some vines or something hanging from it. The texture of the snake looks a bit too uniform as well. Keep it up!
Maxilator, thanks. I like the idea about vines on the snake head - I will try to make something like that. About piano's pedals - they won't be visible in the final renders so I didn't make them :P
I changed a bit texture on the snake and made some big rocks which surround the whole area. Now I'm sculpting some smaller and medium rocks.
This is an awesome idea, I don't know why. It's a cool unexpected combo, putting a piano in the middle of a rocky snake shrine type place.
The only thing sticking out to me is that the piano's design seems too regular for the context of the setting. I can see that nice ornate detail in it's texture though. If your heart is set on that design -- then keep it. I suggest some silhouette paintovers to get something weird going.
Snafubar7, thanks. That's great that you like the overall idea
Here is the first image from the series (original is 6000px on bigger side). After rendering I made a lot of overpainting and photobashing. But still the core of the image is 3d environment. I think that the rest of the series will be added in 3-4 days intervals (1 day for rendering and 2-3 days for working in photoshop). Photo of the girl was made by me. In other shots she is the main part of the frame in opposite to this first posted.
Very impressive, feeling very mystical. How did you achieve the semi-circular relief in #5 if you don't mind me asking?
I would have suggested beating up the piano a bit and adding more dirt towards its base to really ground it in the scene, but that depends how long its been there and what the story behind it is I guess. Looking forward to more!
Okay, I think I'm in the minority here but I think that the most recent render is way too noisy. I would love to see more clear focal points as well as places for the eye to rest. I really like the concept and you have some interesting ideas here, just think that the "polish" stage could be a little more elegant.
foreverlost, thanks. Tomorrow I start working on another shot so maybe on Sunday I will be able to show next image
The Rizzler, I'm glad that you like the mood of the image About relief, I made a greyscale alpha in the Photoshop based on some images from the net and used it as a brush in Zbrush. Then baked a normal map on low poly model and textured this in Quixel Suite.
Carabiner, yeah, you are right. I made some little changes to the image today and hope that now it's more appropriate for viewers and focal points are more clear.

Here is some update of the scene:

And something new

you sure can make rocks.

So here is the fixed version of the image
I'm still working on all shots. Here is the second one which I think is almost finished - maybe later I'll made some little corrections.
