This is looking cool. I love the characters in that game so i'm excited to see how this turns out. I think you need to push the cartoony proportions just a little bit more, especially in the hips and waste. She has a slightly thinner waste in the concept with slightly wider hips. She's also got a slightly shorter look in the concept with a body at about 2.5 heads(not including her hat in head size). Yours is a little closer to 3.5 heads on the body. I think shortening her up a little bit, without making the head smaller would go a long way. I'm really digging her facial features and I like the skull prop a lot. Keep it up!
I think the main problem is, is that the concept is far more stylized then your sculpt, it kinda clashes. best bet is to simplify some of the details like the hands. Unless that was your intention of course.
This project is taking a bit of a backseat for the moment but thanks for all the great advice. I altered the height dimensions as you said and changed a few other things around, i completely forgot to do a measure the characters height and compare it to the concept.
I was trying to give the work my own impression with the more detailed hand and the rips showing but il finish modelling the coat and put a bit of colour on it then see if i prefer the hand to be smoothed out and less complicated or not.
Its been ages but i managed to find time to work on this project over the last week, still not perfect or complete but i think the colour makes the model look a more cartoony and once a bit of posing and facial expression is done which will hopefully resembles the concept art(even if rigging is relatively new to me) it will be at a standard im happy to finish up on.
Still have a few areas i want to touch up on before attempting to rig such as the feathers, corset, lighten up the colours on the hat a bit and maybe play around with the width of the head and the mouth. Just a quick render hence the poor lighting
