xNormal - Bake causing odd shadow cast?

Good evening everyone! I'm curious what is going on... I've looked around trying to figure out this issue.

It happens when I bake my high poly to my low in xNormals, the latches seem to be casting a shadow during the bake and it gets put onto the pages... Any ideas? Cheers

It's not a shadow, that part of the highpoly mesh is getting projected onto the lowpoly. You'll need to set up an exploded bake and move any overlapping meshes to fix this.

Thank you EarthQuake! Yeah, I was thinking during the bake it cast a 'shadow' which is put onto the map

You could also probably solve it with raycast blockers. Whatever floats your boat, really. Exploding is more applicable to baking applications in general so you should definitely know how to do it.
