    Since I'm not entirely sure what to critique at this point, I suppose my only relevant feedback would be are you going to try any other programs? Maybe you could experiment around with different things like a Sub-D in Maya, a sculpty thing like this in zbrush, and a different approach in modo with the rounded edge shader.

    Perhaps part of your exploration could be playing around with these different tools. Many ways to skin a cat :)

    Yeah I need to try maya for complex stuff, used it only for low poly before
