Nice pre-throw motion, but I think he winds up a little too much for the trajectory of the spear.
If you want to keep the wind up motion (which looks good) you may want to change the trajectory to be more arched instead of flat.
I also think his arm should extend further back during the windup. When seeing people throw spears - they aim with the spear positioned at there cheek, but then they go into a windup motion where they bring the spear back and then throw. They do not throw from the aiming position, parallel to there cheek.
Also when making a throw like this the individual would be looking at his target or towards his target before he makes the throw. It looks like he is looking too much to his right just prior to the throw.
Yeah I'd say when you throw a spear the point at which the spear leaves your hand is above your head, not below it (unless you are aiming at the ground in front of you).
