Wasteland junk house WIP

I recently started this mini environment in my spare time, inspired by games like Wasteland 2, Fallout, Mad Max (movie), but with some Eastern Europian elements.

I haven't drawn concept art for this, just a ton of references (movies and game screenshots, photography...) that help me stay on the path. I maybe sometimes mash them together in Photoshop, but tend to create concept in 3d space as it is much easier for me to build things like that and get the feel of space, scale, etc.Is that considered ok generally? I fell stupid for even asking that, but hey, we are here to ask and answer questions.
Also general critique about models and textures is more than welcome.

I'm the same with concepting, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you have a solid frame of reference in mind. For example, I tend to choose a reference I like best then use that as a base that I incorporate other parts from other references into.

How're you texturing your assets? It might be the presentation, but they're looking kind of flat and there isn't much definition.

windows are too dirty IMO. also you should add reflection to them!
are you going to do the interiors as well?

I'm using Substance Painter for textures, and I have just started using it, so I hope to improve overall textures as I work on this.
As for the windows I agree they are way too dirty, but I haven't planned to do the interiors, so the dirt was a temporary solution. I have yet to find the right approach to it.
