
The Brief:
ARTPG is a world/story design exercise for forums. Design a Hero, inhabitants, environments and more for XP. The goal is to reach or exceed 120XP by completing a variety of design tasks to help flesh out and describe your world, and craft a story within it.
How to start?
FIRST! design the main Hero!

CHARACTER +35XP
Design the main Hero (You only get to do this once!)
THEN! design the world around the Hero.
You can repeat the following multiple times to gain XP and tell your Heroes story!

ENVIRONMENT +30XP
Design an environment in the world

INHABITANT +15XP
Design a creature or inhabitant of the world (Hostile/Neutral/Friendly)

ITEM OF INTEREST +5XP
Design an important item in the world

CONFRONTATION +35XP
A discovery or obstacle for the Hero to overcome (dungeon/exploration/combat)
You can use a previously made environment/inhabitant(s) or item of interest.

LEVELUP +15XP
Design an evoloution of the Hero.
A level up can only take place AFTER a confrontation
Remember, the goal is 120XP

ged: Potentially loads of XP, we're running everything in 3D for this exercise so the 2D stuff is just planning.
Auldbenkenobi, ged, Nistrum: If there's enough interest, I have no qualms about running another group - or even a completely open mmo-ArtPG for everyone as more of a community exercise. If not, totally do it on your own anyway! Anything that makes people want to do cool design/story driven art is a huge + in my book, so go nuts! You can pull the brief in non forum format from here.

welp, guess ill post my WIP anyways since Im going to probably move on to the prop/item of interest.
the plan is hes a regular boy. who has a ipad thingy that hes listening to music on, but then it comes to life and attaches itself to his ears and drags him into the sewer, OBVIOUSLY!

and here's my character so far, still tons of painting to do.
So my idea is she's in somekind of arcane-archaeology guild, being sent out to dig up old artifacts. On one of those adventures she found a little possessed statue that flies around and points things out.

thanks for the paintover @EiGHT I tweaked my character a bunch. I've still got to fix the contrast on all my stuff, pad the textures, make sure my env stuff tiles correctly and then a ton of polishing.
