Hey everyone,
I'm a dev
@Pajama Llama Games and we're working at a game called "Flotsam"
It's a survival-focused townbuilder in a flooded world where you manage a small group of drifters that try to survive in a world without land. Your drifters will have to salvage floating or sunken flotsam for resources to build constructions with.
Anyway, I'm not here to promote the game.
Together with
@Jeltz I'm in charge of the art and we could use feedback from you guys here on Polycount.
Without further ado, I'm going to post some of the art.

Buildings translated into 3d:
Consists entirely out of modular parts you can find in the ocean
Our workflow is to create a mockup of what we want, make it consist entirely out of flotsam (the stuff you find floating on the water surface), underwater pieces or salvaged boats etc. Make the Modular pieces and prefab it in Unity, this way we can easily create lots of variations, upgrades, etc, while creating ocean scrap in the process.
A little later in development, with skybox:
A liferaft where you start the game with:
We're trying to keep a consistent style throughout the game, one that reflects the concepts. Do note that we do NOT have any shaders implemented yet.
Now the characters
As you can see, these are built up in a modular way as well.

Female 3D
Tweaked and added Swimgear
We could definitely use feedback on the female model, as we're not satisfied with it and unsure what exactly is missing. Any pro women-modellers here?
To finish up, @Jeltz is working on the boats now and I'll be working on Whales.
Here's the CA
You'll probably see us around the WAYWO thread as well, hope you guys could help us around!

For the female, the concept is incredible, so you just need to transfer more of those vibes onto the model. I flooped some pixels around, hopefully it helps a little.
Main things are the face, hair and the body.
For the face I tried to bring some of the concept ideas onto the current style, hair needs more volume and bouncyness. For the body I noticed she has a better feel when she's more sturdy (like in the concept).
Her clothes are awesome, so no remarks on that
Edit: You'd better make that octopus
Can't believe I went all lame on those facial features, eye opener right there.
I'll be sure to get that octopusbag in there in the process
Had some tweaks overall, your overpaint was very helpful!
Here's some screens from in blender
Still need to do the octopus though
We got more updates but will post them in a batch later on.
But for the female model, I think her hands may be a bit too large and the upper half of the arm too short. Maybe.
