Hold on a sec - how does one actually run the "free beta" ? All I can find is links to the installer, and purchasing options for their 3 license types ...
[edit] nevermind, got it. It required some convoluted steps in the account page.
Thanks for this thread ;-)
My name is Aurelien Charrier, CEO at nukeygara, the french company developing akeytsu, this brand new 3D software dedicated solely to character animation and rigging.
akeytsu is really different from other standard CG packages.
It is the perfect anim tool for videogame community: easy, fast and affordable... and with FBX in/out.
nukeygara even offers an early access deal for customers who are willing to put their money down now. Indie license is available for $79, Pro license for $279 and Learn license is $49.
Please test our free beta on www.nukeygara.com.
You definitely should take a look at it ;-)
Please don't hesitate if you have questions.
I will answer with pleasure here, in private message or in our own forum.
Oh, and to finish, nukeygara will be exhibitor at SIGGRAPH in L.A (in 10 days) on French Pavilion (booth #737).
If some of you are in the area, i 'll be happy to meet you.
Thanks
Cheers,
Aurelien
(ps: i tried to insert image attachements but without success :-(
I will report my first impressions on the software here as soon as I have time to dive into it a little further. I can think of a few suggestions already
played around with it a little bit, im experiencing weird lag spikes, especially when the camera is still, when im moving the camera my fps is like 70-80 but when its static im down to 40-50.
I like the idea of the spinner, but I would love the capability of using keybinds for transforms to do free transform, similarly to what Blender has. I find it very useful for animating without having to do much clicking/selecting.

I know a couple of animators who are super stoked about this program. Will have to play with it myself

At moment only one (full) view which is perspective.
Of course, we plan to add multi-views and orthographic cams.
Cheers,
Aurelien
Shame it's not on MacOS.
I am just back home from SIGGRAPH. That was a great moment! Met a lot of people there, made demos non stop and it seems akeytsu is appreciated ;-)
@lotet: we would be interested to know more about those lag spikes. Indeed it seems weird. Could you post your remark on our forum ? Thanks.
Cheers,
Aurelien

If you want to support a french startup, it is the right moement ;-)
akeytsu is on STEAM Greenlight since today. Please vote for us! Please share it!
@derphouse: yep, of course, the spinner is at its beginning and we will improve it!
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Aurelien
