Hey everyone, haven't posted in forever but I found this video I recorded a while back of some handpainted texturing I did and decided to throw it up on the youtubes. It's pretty rough but thought someone out there might find it useful!
Love your stuff Tyson, any plans to do more videos?
I use 3d Coat for my hand painted stuff too, but i find i have to do a lot of touching up in Photoshop because of quality difference between the 2 programs, do you use out of the box settings or are there some settings for getting cleaner results?
Btw your 3d motive tutorials got me started in hand painting, just got my first job doing hand painted assets the other day, so thank you
The ONE setting I'd recommend in 3D-Coat to make it easier to polish would be to go into your brush options and check the "sharp shape (old style)" box. I honestly can't texture in 3D-Coat without that option checked.

It looks great, I should try one of those texture painting softwares.
