Definitely use lots of reference for this action, baseball is the "National Passtime" in the US. lots people have seen it thousands of times and can tell instantly when something is off.

Your over all timing is very evenly spaced. The windup takes much longer out of the over all pitch, roughly 5|1|2.5 windup|pitch|follow through time... that translates to about ~35 frames of windup; ~7 frames for pitch; and ~20 frames for follow through.

I'd start by looking at video of pitches frame by frame to study the poses and timing. For first blocking pass I'd go as far as rotoscoping if I don't have a lot of time to study references, and keep all the controllers keyed on the same frame. that way you can easily adjust the timing and push the poses afterwards.
