What are the working conditions for people working in the 3D world?

What kind of salaries are offered to juniors?

What type of hours are worked?

How much work is there?

What's freelance like?

I'd really like to hear what people in the industry think; I just found a few online reviews of a place I was thinking about sending my portfolio to, in the future, and it's kind of discouraging, low pay, no overtime pay, poor management...

If you are willing to share any of your experiences or anecdotes concerning this, that'd be great!

Thanks

This topic has been discussed to death xD

A quick run down in my country's studio (Thailand) - 80% of the artists are paid average-new-graduate rate. Which is about half of what new engineers get paid. 20% which are the seniors, supervisors, and other skilled specialists can get paid real good. Really good. Like 3-4 times of that of a junior's
