Alright so - I have a question that I can't figure out how to Google. Polycount to the rescue (perhaps)!
Is there a way to use the Layout function in Maya (Edit UVs > Layout) to layout your UVs ... but still keeping some of them stacked? For example, if you have a model with a bunch of small similar parts that you can stack on top of each other for the texture UVs, is there a way to tell it to keep those pieces together?
Within the options panel, I've figured out how to tell it to stack all or stack none, but not sure if there's a way you can specify. Just want to make sure I'm doing this the most efficient way possible.

I've heard good things about IPackThat which has the ability to group or freeze UVs so they stay together and/or don't rotate.
