really like it, 2 things though, the hair on the elbows, it should be more "integrated" like in the concept, second, the eyes in the hands could use some more work
Thanks for the crits and kind words!
@ CandyStripes05
I kinda like the clean look on his forehead but I maybe will add a bit smaller details in the texture there tho. The chains I did a bit of more details on the HP but I dont want to overkill it tho hehe.
@ s1dK
I am not sure what you mean lol. I am just trying following the detail amount that is in the concept
TaylorMouse
I did another pass on the eyes in the hands but the hair in the HP shots was purely placeholders
Oh well the low poly is done + the bakes and I made a quick color pass and started a bit on the hair on his arms but the textures and hair is gonna need a bunch of work.. I slapped him in toolbag 2 to see how he looked and it look ok so far but got to do a different light set up I think for later pictures.
Dowpe man! my only concern (then again it's from the concept) would be the weird brachioradialis which seems weird to me and preventing him from extending his arm.
@ Dan!Thanks you! I love ur Fran fan art!
@ Scythe Thanks! yeah I know the upper arms is bit funky but I wanted to follow the concept when I made the HP so yeah I guess its a bit of fail on my side not wanting to change that
@ blinKX10Haha dat gif
Oh I am calling myself done woop woop This character was really great way for me to learn more about PBR texturing.
Ok so I made a mini ref sheet that has a few of the refs I used for the mats and textures, it should explain why he is so reflective. I may tho go back and redo the textures if you guys think it does not match what I was going for shown in the ref sheet
Awesome ! I really like that messy glossy skin ! Like CandyStripes05, I do think it will be better with some area less glossy, like used by the overall friction etc.. If the guys wears no shirt, which seems to be the case
Might get a bit easier to "read" too, the overall saturate red can mess a bit with the awesome amount of details here.
So I did some more work on him I think he looks way better now and I think its time to call him finished for real this time haha. So thanks for all the kind words and crits!
Time to move to the next project

The HP is pretty much done now. Gonna hit the lowpoly now
I vote you pose the second set of hands and twist up the spine or something, they look alright in the concept but look boring when translated to 3D
sub'd for more

although, it looks like he came straight out of shower probably should decrease the reflectiveness!
I feel you could use more of a variety in your gloss/roughness maps per material.
But yeah I will go over the textures this upcoming weekend and do more work on it

Freaking good job o.O !
