My second thread, how exciting!
Hello, I'm new here!
I'm a beginner at Maya and Zbrush but I would consider myself under average in terms of the modeling area of Maya. (I might be overestimating my abilities but that is for you to decide)
I have made three different meshes that I have made to my liking and I am done with the base mesh of them all I think. Problem is that I do not know which step to take after being done with the base mesh.
Should I use "cleanup", should I make UVs, should I move the mesh over to Zbrush, color or should I do something else. I feel like after I'm done with my modeling stage I become stagnant.
The pictures show my current skills.
Advice and tips would be much appreciated!!

More specifically:
1) Retopologize your highpoly model to a low poly model.
2) Get the UV layout done.
3) Bake your textures (Normals, Curvature, Cavity, AO, etc.)
4) Paint the textures.
5) Render it (if this is game art, in an actual game engine)
