AAAAADRIAAAN!!!
Had to say it ^^ I have started work on a new Unreal scene after completing 3 years at the University of Derby studying Computer games modelling and animation (great course
But due to skipping between both environment and character work my portfolio is lacking a scene. So what better idea than go for a movie scene.
This thread will show the development of Mighty Mick's Boxing Gym from the Rocky Films. The reason I have chosen this is because it is an interior that is interesting and can be quite messy! which is a great way of breaking up the environment! The main reason for this thread is so that I can get feedback as I go along and improve my art ^^
So now I have that out of the way here is the first prop!
This is one of the possible three punching bags that will be done!
Yes at the moment it seems to be never punched but I will use the Roughness map and Normal to give it the effect that the leather has been worn away.
It was from this that I then realised the level itself should come first, but I couldn't resist ^^ So the next post should show a level plan made in Photoshop!

The next step will be to block this all out in Unreal
Haha cheers ^^ yeah I will do that I may include Apollo's shorts ^^
Making my way around the room modelling and UV-ing the wall and door sections then I will move onto the ceiling pillars ^^
Much better! Especially when viewing shots from the set, lots of room above the doorframe!
Cheers buddy ^^
Increased size of ceiling and width, added boarded up window and ceiling beams.
And model of boxing ring in progress ^^
Used Ncloth in Maya for boxing ring tarp.
