The Lead Art Director (m/f) is responsible for the overall art style and visual design of all game products in our Strategy Games Studio. As the established go-to expert on matters of art direction in our studio, you will ensure that our games are delivered with the art style and quality best suited to them. You will lead a small team of art directors and may have the opportunity to take over the art direction of one of our key products as well.

The Lead Art Director (m/f) is responsible for the overall art style and visual design of all game products in our Strategy Games Studio. You will lead a small team of art directors and may have the opportunity to take over the art direction of one of our key products as well.
Your job:
- Provide expert judgment and guidance for all matters related to art direction in our studio
- Guide and coach the art directors to ensure that art vision, style, and quality consistently fulfill the requirements of the game product
- Actively take part in the game development process to ensure that we create and deliver a clear artistic vision and style for each game
- Create and maintain an adaptive definition of our art style, and develop processes to fit our speed to market strategy
- Keep up-to-date and apply the latest art trends and state-of-the-art techniques in the gaming industry; demonstrate a strong understanding of best practices
- Have the possibility of taking over the art direction of one of our key products
- Hire, coach, and develop art directors
Your profile:
- Several years of professional experience in a leading art director position
- Established industry expert with a proven art direction track record of successful games
- Broad knowledge and experience in all relevant art professions from concept art through to 3D animation and UI
- You have an innovative mindset and result-oriented attitude and exhibit a strong drive to produce amazing visual art work
- Open-minded, motivating, and inspiring personality
- Excellent communication skills · Preferably experience with working in an agile development environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
