Cheers guys, here's the thread for the new project im working on to close out my summer vacation. It's a greek architecture revival that became popular mostly in the south but in various parts around america and the rest of the world. Cheers!
For this scene no interiors it's already quite high poly. I'd like to focus on making really great textures for this, and I am gonna attempt to learn substance designer for this project so it's a tall glass of water. Thanks for your kind words!
Hey guys! Thanks so much amira! Thank you as well victor!!! Hey shinigami a decent amount of it is recorded feel free to check out past broadcasts, I hop back and forth between a project or two in the beginning of one then stick to this one. Thanks again buddy!
Hey wakkamis! I agree that it sticks out too much but I like it because I feel it gives the eye a nice smooth break from the detail of the other parts. The rooftile geometry took quite awhile but it was a tileable square placed modularly until it reached an end point and then I individually moved he vertices to match the subsequent angle that was left.
Cheers!
Update time! Modeling just about done. Gonna do the uv unwrapping on some downtime and hopefully dial in the project by the end of summer to rung out a pretty successful one! Cheers guys hope you're doing well and working hard!
I'm not all that up with American architectural styles (they all have different names here), but I don't think what you're working on there is Greek Revival. Maybe Queen Anne revival? It doesn't really matter one way or the other, but it might be handy for pulling some more references.
Thanks so much steve. I think google may have mislabeled it to be honest. Greek tends to have more of the stronger pillars featured which mine doesnt really. I'll check out queen anne revival it might help out alot because the roof had to be completely made up out of thin air the view was not too good for me haha! Thanks again for the insight it'll certainly help!!!
Screenshots from maya's default viewport so not the best indicator but it'll have to suffice as a progress update for now. Dead tired haha! Tons to adjust and change but if things go well hopefully I'll have a decent piece on my hands!

Hope to see finished version. Will you do some interiors too?
Gonna look out to catch you streaming.
Cheers!
I feel that the trim on the upper roof sticks out way too much.
How did you do the roof tile geometry?
Cheers!
