I was wondering if it would be worth my while buying the Dozer tutorial set by Laurens Corijn. What I mean by "worth my while" is - have things moved on from when he made this tutorial? Will I be learning old technics for baking/uv/texturing? is the tutorial set good?
I am willing to pay the full price for the set if it's beneficial. I'm going the self taught route and I rely on good teachers and polycount to help me on my way
If I do buy the set I plan on adding the Dozer to my portfolio, I will use it as a hero object in one of my scenes.

I have 2 of the 3 courses. I don't have the last one on texturing.
I still would recommend it especially if you're a new Max user. The first two are primarily on the modelling.
No problem updating what you learn to using pbr. If you have substance painter you just import the maps you've made from the tutorial or do your bakes in substance.
You could pm Laurens directly if you need more info. He goes by Xoliul here.
My only beef with eat3d now is their pricing especially when you can watch the entire gnomon library for a month for the price of one eat3d course.
Hope there's another 50% sale from eat3d coming like last years.
Xoliul, as in the Xoliul shader? lol
I think I will message him and see what he advises.
Yeah, eat 3d prices are high, but from what I've heard they are worth their weight in gold for those who genuinely want to learn.
Yep, the very same.
Good to know, last thing I need is some outdated tutorial at very high cost.
