By using the "filter" preset in Designer, you can make your own filters for painter. For the histogram scan, I just exposed the Position, Contrast, and Invert.

thanks for the filter! what do you mean by "preset"? I'm still on SD4, is it SD5?
It's an Input Grayscale node : Identifier - "input", Label - "Input", no usage.
and an Output node : Identifier - "output", Label - "Output", Group - "Material", no usage.
Add in whatever you want to do to a black or white mask, expose the parameters and you should be good to go.
Edit: Just realized you probably got all that from the sbs haha
